A short film making competition where classic stories, films and plays are turned on their heads. Pick a well-known movie and give it a unique twist: flip the perspective, alter the ending, change the genre, or tell the story from a side character's view. The end product must be a short and sweet "movie re-imagined". From villains becoming heroes to tragedies turned into parodies, creativity is your only limit.
Rules
- Base it on a well-known movie, play or story with a unique twist: flip the perspective, alter the ending, change the genre, or tell it from another character's view.
- The film must not exceed 5 minutes. Going over may be penalised.
- Originality of the concept and rewritten storyline counts for a lot.
- Props, costumes, background music and basic visual and audio effects are allowed. Arrange your own.
- No pre-recorded dialogue or voiceovers in place of live acting. Every team member should take part.
- Content must suit a college audience: nothing offensive, discriminatory or disrespectful to any individual, community, religion or institution.
- Films are submitted online, as the organisers instruct. Results are announced at the college on a date the organisers share.
- Judged on acting, script and storyline, group coordination, props and costumes, direction, editing and graphics. The judging panel's decision is final.
- The prize money may change with the number of registrations.
