Rules

• Pick any licensed club or national team. Teams are first come, first served, and no two players can use the same team in a match.
• Declare your team before the match starts. It can't be changed for the rest of the tournament.
• Kick-Off mode, head-to-head: 7-minute halves, World Class difficulty, Normal game speed.
• Injuries off, handballs off, offsides on, weather clear.
• Optional group stage: round-robin groups of 3 or 4 players, with the top 1 or 2 of each group going through.
• Group ties are broken by goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head, then a coin toss or playoff at the organisers' discretion.
• Knockout stage is single elimination, through the semi-finals and the final.
• Knockout matches that are level go to penalties. The semi-finals and final play extra time first.
• Abusive or unsporting behaviour, including excessive celebrations and foul language, means a warning or disqualification.
• If you disconnect in the first 10 minutes, the match restarts. After that, the score and time are noted and the rest is played once you reconnect.
• Pause only at natural stoppages, such as throw-ins and free kicks.
• Custom tactics and formations are allowed but must be set before the match. Use any controller layout you like.
• No excessive time-wasting, such as holding the ball in the corner. It can bring warnings or penalties.
• Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled match.
• The tournament officials' decision on disputes and rule breaks is final.
• Spectators are welcome to cheer, respectfully and without distracting the players.
